Joana Pimenta returns to the Festival, this time with the film An Aviation Field.
The North-American Festival, that takes place in Michigan, brings good memories to the Portuguese filmmaker – in the 2015 edition she won the Tom Berman award for most promising filmmaker with THE FIGURES CARVED INTO THE KNIFE BY THE SAP OF THE BANANA TREES (AS FIGURAS GRAVADAS NA FACA COM A SEIVA DAS BANANEIRAS), her first short-film.
Joining Joana Pimenta, Sofia Caetano will also be competing at the Ann Arbor Festival with her short-film BLISS.
Between 2016 and 2017 AN AVIATION FIELD (UM CAMPO DE AVIAÇÃO) was present in more than ten festivals and as won the Grand Award at Zinebi (International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao).
The Ann Arbor Film Festival takes place between 21 and 26 March, at Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States of America.
