THE HOUSE
Sinopse
Born in Lisbon during the Fascist Regime in order to control students coming from the portuguese overseas colonies, the Casa Estudantes do Império, with delegations in Coimbra and Porto, was fundamental to the independence movements in the colonies. Through that meeting point passed future anti-colonial and national movement leaders such as Agostinho Neto and Amílcar Cabral. The House recovers memories and testimonies by some of its remaining survivors while also adapting to screen excerpts of Pepetela's novel "A Geração da Utopia".

Sinopse
David, a young freelancer lives with his girlfriend and their newborn child, who suffers an unexpected deteoration of his medical condition. Without money to buy the necessary medication and without nobody to turn to, David is forced to sell an object of great sentimental value. A series of events leave him with no other alternative than to make something against his principles. A film about financial precarity, love, despair and the way adverse conditions can, at a certain moment, write off rooted values. Can a moment change a life?
